Ian Sales wanted to be an astronaut when he grew up but sadly wasn't born in the USA or USSR. So now he writes stories about them. He has been published in Jupiter, Postscripts, Alt Hist, and the anthologies Catastrophia, Vivisepulture and The Monster Book for Girls. He is currently editing an anthology of hard sf, Rocket Science, for Mutation Press. It is due to be launched in April of this year - as is his hard sf novella, Adrift on the Sea of Rains. He reviews for books for Interzone, and is represented by the John Jarrold Literary Agency.
