Before you spend any money on editing services, it’s good to know what you’re getting and whether the editor is right for you. For this reason, we provide a free sample edit to anybody considering our manuscript evaluation or copyediting services. It also allows us to accurately quote a price for our full services.
The sample edit involves an evaluation of the first five pages of your novel. However, we ask you to provide the first three chapters so that we can see the context of the pages we’re editing.
Please note that this service is only available for novel-length manuscripts (of at least 40,000 words). We also reserve the right to refuse a sample edit, for example if the manuscript is unsuitable or we feel unable to help. (No advice is better than bad advice, after all!)
