Douglas Bruton throws words together. Sometimes they make sense and sometimes they even make stories. He has been published in Northwords Now, in Umbrellas of Edinburgh by Freight Books, and in Landfall, an anthology of new writing from The Federation of Writers (Scotland). Later in 2018 his second novel will be published – his first was a children’s novel called The Chess Piece Magician (Floris Books) and his new novel will be for grownups.
