The Fiction Desk will not be running a flash fiction competition in 2016. Instead, we'll be dedicating more time this summer to reading standard-length short story submissions and further developing our anthology series.
If you write at the longer end of flash fiction, you might be interested to know that we have lowered our minimum word count for standard submissions to 1,000 words. More on standard submissions can be found in our submission guidelines.
Our next writing competition will be our annual ghost story competition, due to open this November.
Last year's Flash Fiction Competition winners will be published in our next anthology, out in June.
