James Mitchell is an advertising strategist and dystopian fiction writer, trying to work out how JG Ballard would respond to Big Data and vaping. His stories have been published in Vice, the Mechanics Institute Review, and Litro, among others. In 2015 he was Highly Commended for the Orwell Society Dystopian Fiction Prize, and in 2016 he won the Fiction Desk Newcomer Prize.
